NATIONAL MATH’S WEEK

Nirja Sahay D.A.V celebrated the fourth National Math’s Week commemorating 128th birth anniversary of S. Ramanujan, who was one of the most prominent Mathematicians of India. A Quiz competition was organized to endeavour interest in students regarding the subject Mathematics. Students of Standard IX, X and XI participated in the competition. The teams were- Aryabhatta, Shridhara Acharya, Bhaskara Acharya, Ramanujan. There were three students in each group. The questions were based on life histories of various mathematicians and general mathematics. Maths teacher – Mr. Bappaditya Banerjee threw some light on the importance of subject mathematics and the work of Ramanujan at the beginning. The competition was interesting. All the groups put their good efforts. But as only one team could lead at the last, so the winning team was – ‘ Shridhara Acharya’ which included Vivek Mishra of X, Beauty Kumari of IX and Pawan Kumar Saw of XI. The competition conducted in the School was really an Appreciating effort. The students showed their great enthusiasm and interest in the competition.
